Privacy Policy

Loadirect is in its demo phase. This document will be reviewed and finalized before Loadirect handles real shipments or payments.
This policy explains what information LoadDirect Freight Technologies (“Loadirect”, “we”) collects when you use the Loadirect website, back office, shipper portal, dispatch app and Owner-Operator / Driver app (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form) and role on your company’s team.
- Company details: legal name, USDOT or MC number, EIN, address, equipment, trucks, trailers and drivers, plus authority and insurance information we check with the FMCSA and our verification partners.
- Loads and documents: the loads you post or book, rate confirmations, check-ins, messages, invoices, payments, payroll and settlement records, and photos you upload such as bills of lading, proof of delivery and receipts.
- Location: when a driver uses the Owner-Operator / Driver app and allows it, the truck’s location while a load is booked or the driver chooses to be visible, used for check-ins, tracking and load search. Drivers can turn visibility off at any time.
- Payment details: card and bank details are collected by our payment processor, not by Loadirect. We keep only what we need to show the payment, such as the card brand and last four digits.
- Usage information: technical data such as your browser, device, IP address and the pages you use, so we can keep the Service secure and working.
How we use it
- To run the Service: matching loads to trucks, tracking loads, preparing rate confirmations, invoices, pay statements and settlements, and processing payments, escrow, instant pay and factoring.
- To verify carriers and prevent fraud, double brokering and misuse.
- To send notifications you ask for, such as lane alerts and load updates, and messages about your account.
- To support you, improve the Service and meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
- The other parties to a load: the shipper, the carrier and, if a carrier authorizes one, its dispatcher see the load, the rate confirmation, check-ins, documents and messages for that load.
- Service providers: hosting, payment processing, carrier verification, factoring partners you choose to use, and notification services, each only to provide their part of the Service.
- When required: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
- We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep account and load records while your account is open and afterwards as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (business records are often kept for seven years).
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions expire, data is sent over encrypted connections, and access inside a company follows each person’s role. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away at the address below if you think your account has been misused.
Your choices and rights
- You can see and correct most of your information in the Service. You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, or to delete it, by writing to us. Some records must be kept for legal reasons even after you close your account.
- Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the Service or by email.
